Planning & Construction Services

Planning & Construction Services, through SSC Service Solutions, provides design and project management for renovation and new construction projects. Services include field inspections of capital construction, renovations, alterations or remodeling and space assessments for the University projects. We create plans and specifications, either in-house or in conjunction with various Architects and Engineers, prepare cost estimates, perform facility audits and surveys, and gather management information, analyze it and prepare reports for presentation. Projects range up to $10,000,000.

Performing Arts Center Entry Door Replacement

Islander Way Road Construction

Beginning June 16 through June 30, there will be a partial road closure at Ennis Joslin road due to construction of the new Islander Way Road on the Momentum Campus.  Inner lanes between Nile Drive and Pharoah Drive will be closed, while the outer lanes between these two points will remain open at all times.  For additional information, please contact Associate Director, Van Franks.

Islander Way Road Construction

Construction of the new Islander Way road connecting Ennis Joslin to Nile Road at Momentum East Campus.  Anticipated completion is November 10.  Please avoid this area while construction is underway.  For additional information, please contact Associate Director, Van Franks.

Curlew Plaza Temporary Pedestrian Control Plan

Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around Curlew Parking Lot due to ongoing construction at Curlew Plaza.   Detour will remain in place through August 31.  For additional information, please contact Project Coordinator, Sheri W. Hilliard.

Science Labs 1 & 2 Generators & Transfer Switches

Installation of Generators, Transfer Switches, and Gas Lines at Science Lab 1 and Science Lab 2 will have an anticipated completion of July 9.  Please avoid the construction areas near these two buildings during this time period.  For additional information, please contact Project Coordinator, Sheri W. Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium Lighting Installation

Soil testing for the installation of new light poles will begin May 6, 2014 with an anticipated completion date of May 12.  Foundation installation will begin June 1 with a total project completion date of July 25.  Please avoid the construction area.  For additional information, please contact Project Coordinator, Jodi Goings.

Curlew Drive Closure

Effective April 11 through August 31, Curlew Drive, between Sand Dollar Boulevard and the Dining Hall construction roadway, shall close to all thru-traffic.  All access to Curlew Parking Lot shall be via Wavecrest Drive.  For additional information, please call project coordinator, Sheri W.
