Planning & Construction Services
Planning & Construction Services, through SSC Service Solutions, provides design and project management for renovation and new construction projects. Services include field inspections of capital construction, renovations, alterations or remodeling and space assessments for the University projects. We create plans and specifications, either in-house or in conjunction with various Architects and Engineers, prepare cost estimates, perform facility audits and surveys, and gather management information, analyze it and prepare reports for presentation. Projects range up to $10,000,000.
NEW: Dugan Wellness Center
Installation of new conduit will take place at Dugan Wellness Center, Electrical Room 131, March 10-14 in preparation of new card reader installations. Please avoid this area while construction is in progress. For additional information, please contact Project Coordinator, Jodi Goings.
REVISED: Harte Research Institute
Removal of existing exterior wall tile and installation of new stucco finish system will now commence March 7, with planned completion by May 4. REVISED: Athletic Field House Gymnasium
Removal and replacement of existing basketball scoreboards and shot clocks will commence April 4, with planned completion by April 6. Campus Swimming Pool
Draining and resurfacing of the swimming pool will commence March 10, with anticipated completion by March 30. The swimming pool will be closed during this time. For additional information, please contact Project Coordinator, Sheri W. Hilliard.
Fire Alarm System Inspection/Testing
Inspection and testing is scheduled for the week of March 10 through March 14 of the new fire alarm systems installed in the following buildings: Early Childhood Development Center, Center for the Arts, Conrad Blucher Institute, Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center, and Bay Hall (partial at 2nd Floor). O’Connor Classroom 222
A/V, data, electrical upgrades, and solar shade installation will take place at the Michael and Karen O’Connor Building beginning March 10 with a completion date of March 14. UPD Substation Renovations

Faculty Center East Lobby
